About Mirai Voca
Mirai Voca is a Japanese vocabulary learning platform designed to be free and accessible to everyone — from absolute beginners learning Hiragana to advanced learners preparing for JLPT N1 and JPT.
1. Our mission
Vocabulary memorization is consistently the hardest hurdle for self-taught Japanese learners. Great textbooks exist, but few learners can carry them everywhere and review every day. Mirai Voca solves this by offering a fast, web-based vocabulary trainer you can open on any device, anytime, for free.
The learning experience we strive for:
- Lightweight & instant — no registration, no app install, just open your browser.
- Structured — Hiragana / Katakana → Basic words → JLPT → JPT, in clear stages.
- Repetition-friendly — flashcards and quizzes encourage spaced review.
- Respectful of your attention — minimal, non-intrusive ads.
2. Learning content
Mirai Voca is divided into four learning areas. Each area can be studied independently, but absolute beginners are encouraged to follow the order from top to bottom.
| Area | Audience | Content |
|---|---|---|
| Hiragana / Katakana | Absolute beginner | 50-sound chart, pronunciation, dakuten / handakuten / yōon, flashcards, quiz |
| Basic Vocabulary | Beginner ~ Pre-intermediate | Daily essential words, leveled Lv1 ~ Lv5 |
| JLPT | Beginner ~ Advanced | Core words for JLPT N5 ~ N1 |
| JPT | Intermediate ~ Advanced | JPT score-band words and business Japanese |
3. Tools and features
Flashcard mode
Flip cards to drill words quickly. The front shows the Japanese word and the back shows the Korean / English meaning. You can switch direction (JP → meaning or meaning → JP), shuffle randomly, or follow the original order to vary your review.
Quiz mode
Multiple-choice quizzes let you test how well a set of words has stuck. You can choose the scope (level / day / JLPT grade), and the result page lets you review the words you got wrong, so you can target your weak spots.
Day system
Trying to memorize too many words at once usually backfires. Mirai Voca splits each module into 30-word "Day" chunks so you can build a sustainable daily routine.
